About the Role
Within the UK Business Unit, our technical teams play a pivotal role in achieving new business objectives and ensuring the successful delivery of programmes. Cutting across technical teams is our business growth
department, a central function overseeing, supporting, and coordinating our business development activities and positioning the business unit to succeed in the market.
The Head of Business Growth not only leads the department and all its activities but also serves externally as a key marketing champion for the business unit, and internally seeks to leverage the broader capabilities of other DAI business units.
The Head of Business Growth will be highly organised, efficient, possess strong
market knowledge and thrive in a collaborative teams’ environment.
The Head of Business Growth will serve as a key member of the Business Unit’s Senior Management Team,
providing counsel to the Senior Vice President and contributing to the overall business unit strategy and
management.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Relevant high-level experience with a minimum bachelor’s degree.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible, and team-focused work environment.
Experience in the international development sector in the UK and in securing public sector contracts.
Entrepreneurial mindset and a proven successful track record of leading teams and contributing to
successful business growth.
Proficiency in developing and executing a business strategy as well as managing organisational
change.
Excellent skills in people management, writing and communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of competing for DFID and FCDO contracts.
Experience of working in countries relevant to our core customers (e.g. Africa, Asia, Latin America
etc.).
About the Company
Large International Business . The UK Business Unit primarily services the UK Government in delivering its
international development objectives. Additionally, they service other select international bilateral and
multilateral development agencies.
